We all know how important it is to get the word out about the work we do in the voluntary and community sector. But finding the time, skills, and confidence to tell our stories effectively can feel like a challenge. That’s why we’re keen to share MediaTrust—a brilliant organisation offering practical help for charities and community groups.

MediaTrust specialises in communications and media support, providing free or low-cost workshops, training, and mentoring to help VCSE organisations share our impact more powerfully. Whether it’s building a website, crafting a social media strategy, engaging with journalists, or simply learning to communicate with more confidence, their sessions are designed with our needs in mind.

One of their standout initiatives is their volunteer matching programme. This connects charities with media and creative professionals who donate their expertise. Need a new logo? Help with video editing? Or advice on marketing strategies? MediaTrust’s network of volunteers can provide the skills you need to bring your ideas to life.

Many organisations and groups across south east London have already benefited from MediaTrust’s support, using it to improve advocacy, build relationships, and reach the people who matter most. It’s an incredibly practical resource that could help your organisation, too.

To find out more about their training, resources, and volunteer matching programme, visit MediaTrust. Let’s keep sharing our stories and building stronger connections across south east London.
