The Neighbourhood and Wellbeing Delivery Alliance (NWDA) is seeking a new Independent Chair from the Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector to help lead its partnership work in Lambeth.

‍

The NWDA brings together the local authority, health and social care organisations, and the voluntary and community sector to reduce barriers to living well for longer. The partnership focuses on tackling health inequalities, strengthening neighbourhood-based support, and improving health and wellbeing outcomes for Lambeth residents.

‍

The Independent Chair plays a key role in supporting collaborative leadership across partners, ensuring the Alliance remains focused on reducing health inequalities, championing effective partnership working, and maintaining strong VCFSE and community leadership within neighbourhood health. The role also involves chairing bi-monthly NWDA Leadership Board meetings and helping to ensure that local communities shape and guide the Alliance's work.

‍

Applicants should be passionate about reducing health inequalities, have experience of bringing organisations together around shared goals, and be confident providing constructive challenge. Candidates must currently be working in Lambeth and have a strong interest in neighbourhood-based approaches to improving health and wellbeing.

‍

The appointment is for an initial two-year term, with the possibility of a further two-year extension. The role is expected to start in January 2027 and requires approximately two days per month, remunerated at £350 per day.

‍

To apply, candidates should submit a CV and a 500-word expression of interest. The deadline for applications is 14 October, with interviews scheduled for 28 October at Lambeth Town Hall.

‍

For more information, expressions of interest, or to arrange an informal conversation about the role, contact Jaswinder Kaur at Jaswinder.kaur39@nhs.net.
