South East London Integrated Care Board

The South East London Integrated Care Board (SEL ICB) makes decisions on allocating resources and planning NHS services across Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark. The SEL ICB drives the four purposes of the Integrated Care System (ICS) (to improve outcomes, tackle inequalities, enhance productivity and support social and economic development through partnership), underpinned by principles of engagement, participation, subsidiarity and delegation. Ultimately, the ICB engages, convenes, understands, delegates and enables improvement.

How we're partnering with the Alliance

Strategic VCSE leadership in NHS Trusts

We’re embedding senior VCSE leaders within south east London NHS trusts, bringing community insight into the heart of organisational decision-making, strategy development, and service design - strengthening collaboration between the NHS and the VCSE sector and supporting more equitable, community-informed health outcomes.

Capacity-building and enhanced grants programme

Learn how funding from the SEL Integrated Care Board (ICB) is supporting grassroots VCSE organisations to grow, sustain and lead community‑led prevention and health creation.

London Neighbourhood Data Explorer

Access to meaningful data is essential if VCSE organisations are to shape services, influence decisions and address health inequalities. Developed by PPL in partnership with all London ICBs and VCSE Alliances, the London Neighbourhood Explorer provides free access to neighbourhood-level data for the first time.

Research Engagement Network

The Research Engagement Network (REN) is part of a national NHS England programme focused on embedding research more effectively across the health and care system - and ensuring it works for everyone.

Trust and Health Creation Partnership

The Trust and Health Creation Partnership is a three-year programme funded by the South East London Integrated Care Board (SEL ICB), bringing together By and For and grassroots VCSE organisations, NHS Prevention Leads, King's Health Partners and the South East London VCSE Strategic Alliance. Together, we are exploring how trust, relationships and community leadership contribute to community-led health creation, and how health and care systems can better understand, support and invest in the conditions that help communities thrive.

Access to NHS spaces

We have been working in partnership with SEL ICB to make better use of NHS buildings as spaces that benefit local people. Our aim is to help micro, grassroots and by-and-for VCSE organisations access these spaces for free to deliver activities and support in the heart of their communities. By making better use of NHS estates, we can ensure local organisations have the room they need to provide vital, culturally responsive services and help tackle health inequalities across south east London.
