Sabrina Dixon
VCSE Strategic Lead
South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust
Sabrina is a south London-based educator, VCSE leader, and community activist with over 10 years’ experience as a secondary school teacher. She brings both lived experience and first-hand professional insight into the structural inequalities faced by children, young people, and families. She is the founder of Social Inclusion Recovery Group (S.I.R.G.), an education advocacy organisation supporting young people and families to navigate school exclusions, SEND processes, behaviour management systems, and wider challenges within education settings. Sabrina plays an active civic leadership role across multiple local and regional partnerships, including Lewisham Black Voluntary Network, the All-Age Mental Health Leadership Alliance, the Birmingham and Lewisham Health Inequalities Review(BLACHIR), Admissions and Exclusions Appeal Boards, and as a member of Lewisham Council’s Children and Young People Select Committee. In her Strategic Lead role at SLaM, Sabrina brings together classroom practice, community advocacy, and system leadership to ensure that the voices of children and young people, particularly those from African and Caribbean and other marginalised communities, shape how mental health services engage with schools, families, and the VCSE sector.
