Creative Health in Southwark
funding opportunity
Southwark Council is inviting Southwark‑based arts and culture organisations to apply for funding to deliver Creative Health activity that supports residents’ health and wellbeing and helps address local health priorities.
Two contracts of up to £18,000 are available to support the delivery of 12–18 months of Creative Health activity as part of Southwark’s wider commitment to Creative Health.
What’s this opportunity about?
Creative Health refers to creative and cultural approaches that support physical and mental health, wellbeing and social connection. This includes activities such as dance, music, visual arts and heritage participation.
Southwark Council is offering this funding to help organisations develop, adapt or grow Creative Health programmes that connect residents into neighbourhood health services and community settings.
What’s on offer
- Funding: Up to £18,000 per organisation (two contracts available)
- Delivery period: 12–18 months
- Support includes:
- Ongoing support and contract management from Southwark Council
- Help building partnerships with NHS and neighbourhood health services, including social prescribing
- Training and guidance on monitoring and evaluation using the Creative Health Impact Framework
- Opportunities to connect and share learning through the Southwark Culture, Health and Wellbeing Partnership (SCHWeP)
Who can apply
This opportunity is open to:
- Formally constituted arts and culture organisations (such as charities or CICs) that are based in Southwark
- Consortia, where a Southwark‑based organisation applies as lead partner (consortia may include freelance creatives and sole traders)
Organisations should place arts and culture at the centre of their work and be committed to inclusive, accessible and anti‑discriminatory practice.
