About the Opportunity

Are you a visionary VCSE leader based in Lambeth or Southwark and would like to shape the future of neighbourhood health and how the healthcare system works with the VCSE sector and communities?

We’re seeking an experienced and partnership-driven VCSE Strategic Lead to play a key role in building a new model of neighbourhood health across Lambeth and Southwark.

Working alongside the Integrator leadership team at GSTT, you’ll help lead the development of Lambeth and Southwark’s Integrator function - a key element of the neighbourhood health model. The Integrator function brings organisations together to design and deliver joined-up, preventative, and community-rooted care.

Your leadership will help embed equitable partnership models, strengthen connections with smaller ‘By and For’ community groups, and ensure the VCSE sector is fully embedded within this new way of working, shaping how neighbourhood health is designed and delivered.

About You

You are an experienced VCSE leader with a proven track record in cross-sector partnership, strategic influence, and community leadership. You bring:

·       Experience shaping VCSE-led system change and embedding partnership across complex health and care structures.

·       Deep knowledge of the VCSE landscape in Lambeth and Southwark.

·       Strong relationships with community leaders and networks, including diverse and underserved groups.

·       A passion for tackling inequalities, advancing social justice, and embedding community-led approaches in neighbourhood health.

You need to be currently employed within a VCSE organisation in Southwark or Lambeth to be considered for this role.

Time commitment: 1 day a week plus 14 days a year for training and development. Fixed term for one year.

Funding: £260 per day (£17,160) +£3630 for employing VCSE organisation overhead cost.

Total funding available: £20,790.

The full funding amount will be paid to the employing VCSE organisation, and they will be the one paying the successful candidate.

Location: The role will be based in Becket House St Thomas' Hospital + occasional attendance at community events and training.

YOU  WILL NEED THE APPROVAL OF YOUR CURRENT EMPLOYER IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR  THIS OPPORTUNITY. PLEASE COMPLETE THIS MICROSOFT FORM TO CONFIRM THE CEO OF YOUR VCSE ORGANISATION HAS  APPROVED YOUR APPLICATION.

This is an exciting, first-of-its-kind opportunity to shape the future of how the NHS and the VCSE sector collaborate at neighbourhood level in SEL.

If you are passionate about the power of VCSE leadership to shape healthcare and create equitable, more community-driven services - we’d love to hear from you.

Training and induction will be provided to help you understand how neighbourhood working is developing locally
