Creative Health and Cancer Pilot
Calls for Expressions of Interest
Please note EOI submission deadline: 23:59PM 15th August 2026
South East London Cancer Alliance (SELCA), in partnership with the Primary Care Workforce and Academy and ICB Creative Health Programme Team, is seeking expressions of interest from Creative Health organisations to deliver community-based support for people living with and beyond cancer.
The Creative Health and Cancer Pilot is exploring how creative, community-based approaches can support people affected by cancer and related long-term symptoms, including fatigue, pain, low mood, cognitive challenges and social isolation. This project aims to develop a non-medical, community-based offer that complements clinical care and supports people to manage ongoing symptoms, improve wellbeing, and reconnect with meaningful activity.
They are looking for organisations to deliver a minimum 12-week creative health programme and contribute to learning about how creative approaches can improve wellbeing, confidence, peer support and access to support, particularly for communities experiencing health inequalities.
They are particularly interested in organisations with:
- Experience delivering creative health, wellbeing or community-based programmes
- Strong links with underserved or marginalised communities in south east London
- Experience working with people affected by long-term health conditions (ideally cancer or similar)
- A commitment to inclusive, culturally responsive practice
Proposals may come from individual organisations or consortiums and can include a wide range of creative approaches, such as visual arts, music, dance, theatre, creative writing, mindfulness, nature-based activities and crafts.
