Be South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust's Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector Strategic Leads
Two Strategic Lead opportunities available in:
1) Adult Mental Health
2) Children and Young People's Mental Health
South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and South East London Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise (VCSE) Strategic Alliance are working in partnership to bring VCSE sector insight and specialism into the heart of the Trust’s strategic decision making.
Thanks to funding from the South East London Integrated Care Board (SEL ICB), there are two opportunities for passionate, community-rooted VCSE leaders to take on brand-new roles in the Trust. These two roles will shape how South London and Maudsley works with the VCSE sector across south east London.
You’ll be working closely with colleagues from across the Trust to:
- Lead the development of a new strategic approach to working with the VCSE sector, that links into operational delivery in local borough services;
- Work with Trust leadership to plan for how best to operationalise and measure this new approach; and
- Provide VCSE sector insight and leadership into the work of the Trust, ensuring VCSE insight shapes and informs decision-making processes, and identify practical steps to embedding this into business as usual.
We are looking for two candidates that are embedded in the south east London VCSE sector (and are currently employed within a local VCSE organisation in Southwark, Lewisham or Lambeth) who can bring sector expertise into the heart of the Trust – confidently navigating cross-sector systems and championing inclusive, community-led approaches to healthcare.
You should have experience relating to adult mental health or children and young people’s mental health.
Time commitment: 1 day a week plus 14 days a year for training and development. Fixed term for one year.
Funding: £260 per day (£17,160)+ £3630 for employing VCSE organisation overhead cost.
Total funding available: £20,790.
The full funding amount will be paid to the employing VCSE organisation, and they will be the one paying the successful candidate.
Location: You will be working remotely or at the Maudsley Hospital site in Denmark Hill once a week + occasional attendance at community events and training.
YOU WILL NEED THE APPROVAL OF YOUR CURRENT EMPLOYER IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY. PLEASE COMPLETE THIS MICROSOFT FORM TO CONFIRM THE CEO OF YOUR VCSE ORGANISATION HAS APPROVED YOUR APPLICATION.
